RUSSELL 1973 Torneo Ganador Semanal
RM 3,000.00
Extremely Rare 1973 Vintage "Ganador Semanal Torneo" Legitimo Super Russell Yo-Yo
Estimated Value: RM 3,000 // USD760
Description:
An absolute holy grail for vintage toy collectors, this is an incredibly rare, museum-grade piece of skill-toy history. This is the authentic Legitimo Super Russell "Ganador Semanal" (Weekly Tournament Winner) yo-yo, specifically stamped with the historic tournament year 1973.
Unlike standard promotional 1970s Russell yo-yos (such as the mass-produced Coca-Cola or Fanta versions) which lack a specific date stamp, this trophy variant features the explicit "TORNEO 1973" gold hot-stamped lettering. It was never sold to the public in retail stores; it could only be earned by winning a regional championship event during the legendary 1973 international marketing tour.
Unmatched Rarity & Provenance:
• The Only 1973 Dated Variant: This specific model is highly distinct because it is the only Russell yo-yo produced with the explicit 1973 mark stamped directly onto the face, separating it completely from standard retail models.
• Malaysian Exclusivity: This is believed to be the only known example in Malaysia featuring a 1970s tournament year mark, making it an irreplaceable crown jewel for local collectors.
• First-Generation Construction: Features the iconic, heavy amber-translucent outer rim characteristic of early-70s premium Russell models, a build quality that was later phased out at the end of the decade.
A pristine, historic treasure that represents a pinnacle piece for serious toy historians and high-end alternative asset investors.
